John’s Journey

Back in the Sixties when John was just a boy
He loved to play with his favourite wooden toy
Bob was chunky and clunky; it was John’s very first car
He’d pull the wheels off and the doors too,
Then put it back together, John knew exactly what to do

As he grew older, he dreamt of life as a mechanic
This was a long time ago, way before the COVID pandemic.
In the Seventies, a time served Apprentice John started his career
With his own pit and a ramp, his own business he would steer

The Eighties, John chose Stockport to trade
A new building, and workshop it was time to upgrade
John gave people jobs and kept cars safe on the roads
The customers loved him and the compassion he showed

In the Nineties, Wood Street became the new home
A space to assess engines with a fine toothcomb
The customers kept coming back again and again
They trusted their cars problems would be clearly explained

With the Noughties John took a back seat
With daughter Brittany in charge, neither one for defeat
The business has grown from a one man band
To a busy workshop that is now due to expand

In October the workshop is having an extension
So they can give your cars more of their undivided attention
Thanks to all the customers new and old
For all the labour and parts, over 40 years have been sold

In February 2021 they will be bigger but just the same
Keeping customers happy and safe is their aim
Delany’s have transparent pricing and give honest advice
They beat the main dealers by nearly half the dealer’s price

So choose John Delany Motors to look after your cars
They service any make, from Fords to Jaguars
From a bulb change to a more complicated job
So give them a try like John’s old beloved toy Bob
